Our first international stop on our world tour was Seoul, South Korea. Koko and I pride ourselves on being pretty seasoned travelers. But my goal on this particular trip was to completely immerse myself. Throw myself in so willingly and come out a champion, top-notch, A+++, All Star traveler. This includes looking stupid and silly and most of all being vulnerable. Sure, we could eat at all the places with the english menus or we could sit down and eat whatever they put in front of us.

Pictured above is the Gwangjang Market. kimchi, raw crab in soy sauce, and various stalls specializing in barley bibimbap, blood sausage, and mung bean pancakes. It was very popular to come here on the weekend with your makgeolli (Korean rice wine) and eat some “live” octopus and nurse your hangover from the night before. The Korean fervor for eating is very inspiring.
